Online Therapy

Online Counselling/Psychotherapy
Online counselling gives you the opportunity to speak to a counsellor/psychotherapist online without having to meet them face to face.
Even though you’re not in the same room, the counsellor/psychotherapist can still help you to explore how you’re feeling, understand what you are going through and support you to make changes in your life if you need to.
Sometimes people choose online counselling appointments because it’s easier for them to access or it fits with their lifestyle or working hours better.
The same confidentiality policy applies to online counselling as face to face counselling. At the start of your first session I will clarify the confidentiality policy with you.
However, please note that any Internet-based communication is not 100% guaranteed to be secure/confidential.
Online counselling is not suitable for anyone experiencing severe psychological distress, mental illness or individuals who are feeling suicidal. Please contact your GP for referral to a suitable service.
What you need to get started with online therapy:
A private space where you will not be disturbed during the session
Access to a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone
A good stable internet connection
Access to a video camera with sound (usually integrated in your device)
