About Me
I am a qualified and accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and work in accordance with the code of ethics and practice from the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). I have been working with clients on a one-to-one basis since 2006 and have gained a wide range of experience. In 2019 I completed level one in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

As well as working privately and in non-profit organisations, I have years of experience working as a Counsellor in the HSE Addiction Service dealing with people with substance misuse issues, behavioural addictions and concerned persons (family members, partners, etc) who are affected by somebody else’s addiction. Furthermore, I worked as a volunteer with 1Life Suicide Prevention Helpline.
I have a strong interested in how early life experiences affect us later in life, attachment and trauma. My overall approach is built on a foundation of non-judgment, empathy and deep respect for the person. By creating a safe and welcome space in each therapy session I aim to accompany each person as they explore their life experiences, struggles and pains. I work relationally and collaboratively with each individual adapting to their needs.
